Almost all conventional antibacterial soaps and body cleansers contain triclosan—a controversial ingredient that has been banned in many parts of the world and recognized as a potential hormone disruptor—yet it still seems to show up!? Many are also major offenders when it comes to sodium laurel sulfate (SLS) and parfum (fragrance)—two toxic chemicals on the Dirty Dozen list.

At this DIY we’re cleaning up our shower and moisturizing routine with raw/simple/effective ingredients like oils, butters and magnesium-rich salts that actually cleanse, purify and deeply nourish the skin (as opposed to stripping our skin like traditional soaps can do) — leaving it hydrated, soft and replenished.
